Despite many challenges, Bonnie succeeded in attending her granddaughter's wedding!
Bonnie's journey with The Orchards of Foxcrest began in September of 2019, when an episode of CHF landed her in the hospital. From there she went to the West Virginia facility to regain her strength and independence. Progress was difficult with various complex set backs, including COVID in December of 2020 and a bout with sepsis earlier this summer. Fast forward to June 2021 when Bonnie got on track with a goal of attending her granddaughter's wedding in August. From September of 2019 to August of 2021 Bonnie persevered and progressed from moderate to maximal assist with most ADLs and mobility tasks to minimal assist/ SBA for transfers and ambulation. This enabled her famility to take her to the wedding and made the event extra special for everyone involved! Her video clip has been seen by local news stations and is on Arbor's Facebook page. Congratulations team Orchards of Foxcrest, the bride and groom and especially to Bonnie!
